Furnace Installation Services

ICS Heating & Air Conditioning installs and replaces gas furnaces in Allentown and across the Lehigh Valley.

Furnace installation near you: Bryant 80% and 90% gas furnaces

Gas furnaces we install

ICS installs Bryant gas furnaces as a Bryant Factory Authorized Dealer, from standard 80% models to high-efficiency furnaces rated up to 98.5% AFUE.

80% furnaces

80% AFUE

Turns 80 percent of its gas into heat and vents through a chimney or metal flue, like most older furnaces. Often the simpler swap where new venting would be hard to run.

Preferred Series

Up to 97.0% AFUE

High-efficiency furnaces with a variable-speed blower. The two-stage models run on low heat most of the time, which is quieter and keeps temperatures steadier.

Evolution System

Up to 98.5% AFUE

Bryant's top line. The modulating Evolution 987M adjusts its heat output in small steps to match the weather. Evolution furnaces include the Red Shield 10-year unit replacement limited warranty.

Our process

  1. In-home visit

We look at your current furnace, the ductwork, venting, gas line and thermostat, and ask about rooms that run hot or cold.

  2. Written quote

You get your equipment options and prices in writing, with financing if you want it.

  3. Installation day

Most furnace replacements take a day. We remove the old furnace, set the new one, and connect the gas line, venting, condensate drain and thermostat.

  4. Startup and walkthrough

We start the furnace, check the gas pressure and venting, test for carbon monoxide, and show you the thermostat and where the filter goes.

Warranty and financing

Bryant Preferred and Evolution furnaces carry a 10-year parts limited warranty and a lifetime heat exchanger limited warranty when registered with Bryant within 90 days of installation. Evolution furnaces add the Red Shield 10-year unit replacement limited warranty for the original homeowner.

ICS offers financing on new heating systems through Wells Fargo and NEIF, subject to credit approval. See financing and payment options.

Frequently asked questions

How much does a new furnace cost?
It depends on the efficiency, the Bryant line, and whether the venting, gas line or ductwork need changes. A 90%+ furnace costs more to install than an 80% model and less to run. You get a written quote after the in-home visit.
How long does a furnace replacement take?
Usually a day. A conversion from oil, or a move from an 80% furnace to a 90%+ furnace with new venting, can take longer.
When should I replace my furnace?
Common reasons are age (15 to 20 years), repairs that keep adding up, a cracked heat exchanger, or rooms that never get warm. Not sure yet? See furnace repair.
Should I get an 80% or a 90%+ furnace?
AFUE is the share of the gas that becomes heat in your home. An 80% furnace sends 20 cents of every gas dollar up the chimney, and a 96% furnace loses 4 cents. High-efficiency furnaces pull so much heat from the exhaust that it condenses, so they vent through PVC pipe out the side or roof of the house and need a drain. An 80% furnace uses the existing chimney or metal flue. Which one makes sense depends on your gas use, where the furnace sits, how easily new venting can run, and how long you plan to stay. We go over the installed price and the operating cost of each at the estimate.
Can you switch my home from oil to gas or propane?
Yes. ICS replaces oil furnaces and boilers with gas or propane heating and removes the old oil tank. Where natural gas runs on your street, gas usually costs less to run than oil. Where it doesn't, propane does the same job from a tank your propane supplier installs. A conversion can also include a new gas line, a chimney liner or new venting, and a new thermostat. Our Easton page describes a gas conversion we did on the South Side.
Should I replace my air conditioner at the same time?
If both are more than about 12 to 15 years old, replacing them together saves labor and gives you a matched system. See AC installation.
Can a heat pump work with my gas furnace?
Yes. A dual fuel system pairs a heat pump with a gas furnace. The heat pump heats in mild weather and the furnace takes over when it gets cold. See heat pumps.
Do you install propane furnaces?
Yes. Bryant gas furnaces can be set up to run on propane, the usual choice where natural gas isn't available.
