AC installation near you: Bryant Preferred Series central air conditioner

Central air conditioners we install

ICS installs Bryant central air conditioners as a Bryant Factory Authorized Dealer. Bryant makes three lines, and the right one depends on your home, your budget and how long you plan to stay.

Legacy Line

Up to 16.5 SEER2

Bryant's most affordable line, with a 10-year parts limited warranty when registered. A good fit when you want dependable cooling at the lowest price.

Preferred Series

Up to 18.0 SEER2

Higher efficiency and quieter operation. The two-stage model runs on a low setting most of the time, which keeps temperatures steadier and pulls more humidity out of the air.

Evolution System

Up to 21.0 SEER2

Bryant's top line, with variable-speed models that adjust their output in small steps. Evolution air conditioners include the Bryant Red Shield 10-year unit replacement limited warranty.

SEER2 measures cooling efficiency: the higher the number, the less electricity it takes to cool your home. New Bryant systems use Puron Advance refrigerant, which Bryant says has 75% lower global warming potential than the R-410A it replaces.

Our process

  1. We visit your home

We look at your current system, the ductwork, the electrical service and where the outdoor unit sits, and ask which rooms are hard to keep cool.

  2. We size the system

The right size comes from your home's square footage, insulation, windows and ductwork. Copying the old unit's size can repeat an old mistake: an oversized air conditioner cools in short bursts and leaves the air damp.

  3. You get a written quote

The quote lists the equipment, the work and the price. Financing is available if you want it.

Installation day

Replacing an existing central air system usually takes a day. Our installers:

  • Recover the refrigerant and remove the old outdoor unit and indoor coil
  • Set the new outdoor unit on a level pad
  • Install a matching indoor coil on your furnace or air handler
  • Connect the refrigerant lines and test them for leaks
  • Wire the electrical disconnect and the thermostat
  • Start the system and check the refrigerant charge and airflow
  • Show you how to use the new thermostat
  • Clean up and take the old equipment away

Warranty and financing

Bryant central air conditioners come with a 10-year parts limited warranty when the unit is registered with Bryant within 90 days of installation. Without registration, parts coverage drops to five years.

Evolution air conditioners add the Bryant Red Shield warranty, a one-time 10-year unit replacement limited warranty for the original homeowner. If a qualifying major component fails, Bryant replaces the whole unit. It comes on top of the parts warranty.

ICS offers financing on new systems through Wells Fargo and NEIF, subject to credit approval. See financing and payment options.

Frequently asked questions

How much does a new central air conditioner cost?
The price depends on the size of the system, the Bryant line you choose, and the condition of your ductwork, refrigerant lines and electrical service. You get a written quote after the in-home visit.
How long does installation take?
Replacing an existing central air system usually takes a day. Adding central air to a home that has never had it takes longer, because the ductwork has to go in first.
Can you add central air to a home without ductwork?
Often, yes, when there's room to run ducts through an attic, closets or a basement. Where there isn't, a ductless system is usually the simpler way to add cooling. See ductless mini-splits.
Should I replace my furnace at the same time?
If your furnace is more than about 15 years old, replacing both together usually saves on labor and gets you a matched system. A new air conditioner also needs a matching indoor coil, which sits on the furnace.
What does SEER2 mean?
SEER2 is the cooling efficiency rating used since 2023. A higher number means less electricity for the same cooling. Bryant central air conditioners reach up to 21.0 SEER2 in the Evolution line.
Is financing available?
Yes. Financing on new systems is available through Wells Fargo and NEIF, subject to credit approval. See financing.
